The International Rescue Committee (IRC), one of the largest humanitarian agencies in the world, providing relief, rehabilitation and post-conflict reconstruction support to victims of oppression and violent conflict, is seeking a Grants Coordinator in South Sudan. With the supervision and guidance of the Deputy Director Programs, the Grants Coordinator will head the Juba-based Grants Unit (GU) for the IRC program in Southern Sudan. The position has linkages with the Program Technical Coordinators, IRC Technical Units, Field Offices, Operations and Finance to support and strengthen
IRC’s programming in Southern Sudan. The Grants Coordinator will provide strategic direction to the unit’s work in terms of ensuring quality grants management, assessing needs and developing grants management capacity of the field based teams as needed, strengthening the donor base, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, ensuring quality information management related to programs/ grants, and support all aspects of the proposal development and reporting processes.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree, preferably in international relations or a social science field, or comparable experience. At least 3 years of international NGO field experience in a similar position:
grant management, proposal and budget development and donor reporting. Knowledge of USG (USAID/OFDA/BPRM), EU (ECHO), DFID and UN (UNHCR, UNICEF) donor regulations, procedures and requirements.
