The International Rescue Committee, a world leader in emergency humanitarian relief, post-conflict reconstruction, and the resettlement of refugees in the United States, is looking for organized, innovative leaders who are fluent in English and French and have extensive international work experience (preferably in Africa), to implement a large scale Community Driven Reconstruction program in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The IRC is currently recruiting for the following CDR positions in DRC: Community Driven Reconstruction Area Coordinator-Katanga; Community Driven Reconstruction Program Director/ Chief of Party; Community Driven Reconstruction Program Area Coordinator-Kalemie. Headquartered in Kinshasa, with provincial bases in Bukavu, Kisangani and Kananga, the IRC is one of the largest NGOs operating in DRC. The IRC currently operates in seven provinces throughout DRC, implementing programs in six core programming areas including community-driven reconstruction. The IRC is now scaling-up its community-driven reconstruction programs as the basis of the next phase of support to the post-conflict transition of the DRC. communities, representing 1.78 million inhabitants, in reducing poverty, increasing social cohesion, improving access to social services, increasing understanding of good governance and improving linkage with authorities at local level. TO APPLY: To learn
