Axios is seeking a Technical Director to provide a strong technical management resource for its supply chain management projects in Nigeria, which support three major HIV/AIDS treatment and care programs operating throughout Nigeria. Axios is an organization dedicated to increasing access to health care in developing countries through innovative approaches. In the conception, design and implementation of a range of field programs globally, Axios has realized significant results in improving and expanding patient access to quality treatment and care, and validated new models and methodologies (www.axios-group.com). Axios work includes procurement and importation of ARV and other drugs and laboratory supplies, warehousing, distribution, strengthening of drug and supplies management in health facilities, development and strengthening of computerized inventory
management systems, and development of forecasting and feedback systems. The Technical Director will provide technical support and leadership to projects, coordinate external technical assistance, and thus ensure the achievement of high
standards of technical quality in Axios’ supply chain operations.

REQUIREMENTS:
at least a Master’s degree in medicine, pharmacy, a health science related field or public health. Strong drug logistics/ supply chain management experience is an essential requirement for this position. Candidates should have 7-10 years project
management and practical experience in supply chain management for health care related projects in developing countries. Experience working with HIV/AIDS related drugs and commodities is highly desired. Strong organizational skills and ability to
work in a team-oriented, culturally diverse environment. Ability to work with international organizations, government officials, non-governmental organizations and the private sector; international development work experience with activities
under United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funding would be a definite plus. Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and work independently. Strong computer skills. Excellent training skills. Excellent writing,
communication and presentation skills. Fluency in oral and written English is essential. Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
