USAID/Uganda seeks a Program Officer to coordinate and facilitate the planning, development, and production of annual Country Operational Plans (COP), oversee the maintenance of the COP databases, prepare and disseminate periodic internal and external updates/ status reports, and assist the Country Coordinator in organizing program technical reviews and coordination under the PEPFAR/Uganda program. He/she shall act as PEPFAR Country Coordinator in his/her absence.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Health Administration, Social Science or related field required; Master’s is desirable. Experience: Three years in public health or social sector programs; experience working with HIV/AIDS and or PEPFAR, two or more years in monitoring and evaluation of health or HIV/AIDS programs and experience in developing and monitoring budgets. Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational, well honed interpersonal, negotiating, facilitating, analytical, excellent writing and strong computer skills all required.
